The PolyOz President, HelenM gives us some insight into what she has been watching and listening to lately and offers her reviews...
And now on
TV, a regular Poly Drama series!!! SBS Sunday nites at 8.30 pm.
"BIG LOVE"
(M)
A candid look at multiple
family lives in a bunch of progressive Mormon Polygamists Vs the fundamentalist
Mormon sect and mainstream society. Lots
of drama and the usual multi-relationship issues are tackled such as; time-sharing
& money, jealousy & insecurities, tensions & group dynamics and
roles etc.
Leading
man, BILL PAXTON plays BILL HENRICKSON who has 3 wives & 7 children to look
after , 3 households plus an expanding hardware business to run.
PATRIARCHAL
Polygamy?!?
Interview
with Bill Paxton by Guy Davis;
‘While it
may appear like Bill is very much the one who benefits from this set-up, Paxton
admits that "they're very much the queen bees and Bill is the worker bee".'
"I have 3
love stories... and they are all love stories.
Each one of them is kind of sweet."
‘The appeal
of the show, Paxton reckons, may lie in a deep desire for family bonds. "I think we all have a desire for an extended
family in a way." And he's confident
that Australian audiences will take to the series. "Be careful, "he laughs. "It might start a revolution down there." ‘!!!!!!!!!
(Excerpts
from; the Guide, Bendigo Advertiser. June 1st. interview by Guy
Davis.)
It is
always interesting to see different Poly groups & practices and how members
achieve Poly lifestyles and inter-relationships. Both men & women benefit
from Polyfidelious relationships when freely & mutually agreed upon and
chosen. The 3 wives seem to find a
special sisterhood, support, comfort, less jealousy & more power and
respect from each other and from the man in their lives than they would have in
the Mormon compound or in traditional western set-up of high divorce rates
& broken families.
So stay tuned.....SBS Sun 8.30pm... And what next..????? How about a Poly Reality
Series!!!!!!

romantic comedy remake of the in/famous legendary lover, starring Aussie, Heath

Great
costumes, authentic music & atmosphere all set in the lavish Venetian
